Diabetes Specialist Nursing Service (NHS Western Isles)

The aim of the Diabetes Specialist Nursing Service is to provide high quality diabetes care to its patients within a supportive and safe environment. The service is offered to adults, children and pregnant women and offers:

• specialist advice and services to adults, children and pregnant women
• specialist advice to health care practitioners in both primary and secondary care, as well as training for schools and care homes
• an adult and paediatric insulin pump service.
